A Tummy-Warming Roast Beef Dinner For A Lazy Day
Autor admin
I’ve got enough time to peel some potatoes, chop up some garlic, and open a few cans. Now I’ve got dinner ready in the crock pot before I head out to take the dogs on a walk or take the kids out for a fun day at the park. It’s one of those Sundays when I’ve got nothing urgent waiting for me. This is the perfect time for a Lazy Day Roast Beef dinner. We’re going to really enjoy the aroma when we come in from our walk. I’m using one of the most economical cuts of beef you can find, a rump roast. This is the perfect meat to cook for a long, long time. The meat will be tender and fall right apart.
Because most crockpot recipes call for less expensive cuts of meat, you can really watch your budget. I like to search around for recipes that use the rump roast, or a brisket, or shoulder cut, or perhaps a round steak. If you’ve tried these budget cuts in the oven without much success, you probably would be quite pleased if you tried cooking them in your crock pot. Save your tender cuts for the grill!
