Most people think about kids gifts only at the last minute.  The result is a gift choice that feels last-minute too.   That’s why I’m thrilled to write children’s toy reviews.  Today I have my sights set on traditional gifts aka toys that do not require batteries or involve flashing lights.  A classic gift worthy of investing in is a boys dress up trunk.  Filled with the costumes boys love, this trunk is the perfect solution to a rainy day.  The set includes get-ups suitable for pirates, explorers, cowboys, soldiers, and race car drivers, and super heroes.  It also includes a number of small surprise accessories – without giving all the surprise away, some of these toys may include a treasure map, plastic bugs, and a real working compass.

There is no doubt that gifts like this are valuable for growing kids’ imaginations.  Rather than spoon-feeding myths and stories through the television, playing dress up encourages creative thought and peaceful group play for kids of all ages.  In general, I am a huge fan of kids gifts that develop their imaginable, social, and creative minds… especially when there are no batteries included.
