Monkey Jewellery for the Discriminating Woman

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

I have been a fan of monkey jewellery for years.  I think there is something fascinating about the little primates that awakens my mothering instincts! I have collected silver monkey charms, pendants and necklaces from all around the world. But let me say that the adorable hanging monkey earrings from The Magic Zoo has beat all the other options put together. In my opinion, anyway. They just seem to be brimming with personality and life. The first time I came upon jewelry by this artist was at a meeting I attended a while back.  And I am delighted that fate brought me within eyesight of this fellow accessory lover. (more…)

Dolphin Jewelry, Artistically Designed

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

It’s amazing how the love of dolphin jewelry has endured for so many decades. I suppose I could delve into the dynamics of our relationship to these charismatic mammals and how we all came from the sea long ago. And perhaps that does have some bearing on it. Personally, I’m plain fascinated by their sleekness, their intelligence and their beauty. Dolphin earrings, necklaces and so forth are a great way just to show our relationship to them on an everyday basis. (more…)

The Fighting Knives that Made Legolas a Hero

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

When you hear the Lord of the Rings trilogy, one of the main characters that will surely come to mind first is Legolas. His real name is Legolas Greenleaf and he’s an elf who came from the Woodland Realm and who volunteered to join the Fellowship of the Ring and represent the elves in their mission. He was often seen in battles and fighting scenes with their enemies using his very own fighting knives. Aside from his exceptional battle skills and abilities, Legolas fighting knives also contributed in his numerous victories. (more…)

Plastic Sheds and Greenhouses

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Though there are some advantages to owning a wooden shed, it can be expensive to build or buy one. You will also need to treat it regularly for termites and other infesting bugs as well as water damage. You will need to treat it to keep the pests at bay and paint it every two years or so. At our new home, I decided to go with a plastic shed. Plastic sheds are darn near maintenance free so I have done nothing but hose it down once in the last year. It holds its shape and color and has been great for storage and the kid’s balls and toys just bounce off the side with no damage at all! (more…)

Special sunglasses for women

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

Women sunglasses are different from men sunglasses. The style, the design everything differs. Women being very fashionable need a good pair of sunglasses that give them both style as well as protection. To buy a good pair of sunglasses, women need to consider many things. First of all she has to see whether she want to have sunglasses with or without the rim. I would suggest using rimless shades as they give a better vision and as well are better. Ray Ban shades are the best for women to wear as they are long lasting and also they give you the best style and protection. Secondly while selecting a good pair of sunglasses, a woman should see whether it fits on her face or not or else your wholesale sunglasses will spoil your look. Your budget is another important aspect. (more…)

Boys Dress Up Trunk For Rainy Days

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Most people think about kids gifts only at the last minute.  The result is a gift choice that feels last-minute too.   That’s why I’m thrilled to write children’s toy reviews.  Today I have my sights set on traditional gifts aka toys that do not require batteries or involve flashing lights.  A classic gift worthy of investing in is a boys dress up trunk.  Filled with the costumes boys love, this trunk is the perfect solution to a rainy day.  The set includes get-ups suitable for pirates, explorers, cowboys, soldiers, and race car drivers, and super heroes.  It also includes a number of small surprise accessories – without giving all the surprise away, some of these toys may include a treasure map, plastic bugs, and a real working compass. This Cute Little Silver Pig Pendant I Found

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

My mom has had a thing for pig jewelry for as long as I can remember. “Hey, look at this cute little silver pig pendant!” I heard the other day when I came over to help her get her garage sale ready. But it wasn’t some long lost treasure she’d spied deep in her jewelry box. Nope, Mom had found another pig pendant at an online jewelry store. “Don’t you have enough pig jewelry?” I decided to give her a hard time. “Yeah, but look at this one!” (more…)

Making Breakfast in a Covered Stainless Steel Griddle

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

I’ve read countless articles that say you shouldn’t start your day without a good breakfast. Well I’ve never been one to skip breakfast, so it was nice to read that I was on the right track. During the week I usually will grab something simple and satisfying like oatmeal or a multi-grain muffin. When it comes to the weekends, I like my breakfasts big! I love cheese omelets with fresh home fries, homemade waffles, and pancakes with bacon or sausage. The only thing I don’t particularly like about frying up bacon and sausage is the fat spattering on my stove top. That’s why I was thrilled to find this great Covered Stainless Steel Griddle. (more…)
