What are the best filtration systems for home water treatment? In a simple answer most all of them. You see water filtration has come a long way. In fact it almost impossible to purchase a “bad” filter, there are just various degrees of effectiveness and cost per gallon of water cleansed. Even using a simple Britta pitcher system is better than not doing anything at all.  However, these simple systems are more expensive per gallon of water and not as effective as other models.

We did a lot of comparisons of different systems and  concluded that the best purification system for the money was the Aquasana AQ-4000 counter top water filter.  The cost was just under $100 dollars and replacement cartridges weren’t required  every month, but an easy ever six months. Cost to run the filtration device ends up being less than 10 cents a gallon.  Installation was super simple as it comes with everything, including adapters.  I think it took less than 5 minutes to install it and run a bit of water through to get the carbon particles out.
